The mission of the WCA is to create community through art, education and social activism. This mission is supported by state and regional WCA chapters as well as special interest internal caucuses. Its stated purpose is to recognize the contributions of women in the arts, provide women with leadership opportunities and professional development, expand networking and exhibition opportunities for women, support local, national and global art activism and advocate for equity in the arts for all.As a United Nations affiliated NGO (non-governmental organization), the Women\u2019s Caucus for Art supports UN goals by creating art platforms and using the universal language of art to \u201cengage artists, NGOs, and civil society on a broad range of issues such as gender equity and environmental sustainability.\u201d WCA is a founding member of The Feminist Art Project.
